About EpicMinds Lab

How did our project come to life?

Hey Epic Mind! My name is M, and EpicMinds Lab is something A and I built together.

It started with hours long conversations about society, power, technology, education, loneliness, work, freedom, and the quiet contradictions that shape the modern world that we live in. We soon realized that what we were doing privately, like analyzing, disagreeing, questioning, and re-thinking, was something many people were trying to do alone, without a space that truly welcomed complexity.

So we decided to turn those conversations into something open.

That is what ultimately led us to the mission of EpicMinds Lab: to create a shared space where ideas can be examined without being simplified, where different ways of thinking can exist without turning into enemies, and where questions are treated as valuable, not as weaknesses. We want to explore how systems shape human lives, how beliefs are formed, and how much of what we consider “personal” is actually structural, historical, or economic.

The reason we do this is simple. We both feel that public conversation has become rushed, polarized, and performative. People are pressured to choose sides before they understand the problem. To defend identities instead of examining assumptions. To react instead of reflect. EpicMinds Lab exists because we believe that this way of thinking is exhausting, fragile, and ultimately dishonest.

What EML Wants For You

We want to build something different: a place where disagreement can be thoughtful, where doubt is allowed, and where intelligence is not measured by how fast someone answers, but by how carefully they ask. We believe this is important for young and seasoned minds alike.

Our objective with this podcast is not to provide final truths. It is to map questions in a fun and engaging way! To analyze social systems, political ideas, cultural habits, and psychological patterns in a way that is accessible but not shallow. Through solo reflections, structured debates, guided conversations with guests, and thematic mini-series, we want to offer tools for understanding and not just instructions for what to believe.

We hope that our listeners will come away with sharper questions, softer judgments, and a deeper awareness of how their inner world connects to the world around them. We also hope the podcast becomes a dialogue, not a monologue, a place where the audience contributes their own questions, experiences, and perspectives, and where thinking remains a shared process.

The EpicMinds Lab Team

Who are we to teach you?

Not self-proclaimed gurus. Not internet philosophers.

We are physicians, researchers, and educators with years of academic training and real-world experience across medicine, science, and critical inquiry. Additionally, we are two people who never stopped being students!

EpicMinds Lab was created from the collaboration of two curious minds who believe that learning should be rigorous, evidence-based, and deeply human. Our work brings together science, philosophy, technology, and social analysis to help people think more clearly, ask better questions, and navigate an increasingly complex world with intellectual honesty and respect for nuance.

"I really believe that education should teach people how to think, not what to think. Curiosity, doubt, and compassion are the foundations of real understanding. Knowledge is powerful when it is shared with clarity and humility."

"Progress starts when we challenge our assumptions and examine ideas with evidence, not fear. Everybody deserves a chance to learn regardless of where they come from."
